Our Donors
From 1993 through 2008 donors provided $120 M in humanitarian and development funding to Save the Children for direct response and implementation as well as significant forward-funding and capacity building for dozens of national and international NGOs. Strong support to key Georgian NGOs continues today.
Following Georgia’s five-day war with Russia in August 2008 SC renewed emergency response activities. The response focused on creating Child-friendly Spaces (CfS) and other child protection activities as well as on distributing food and non-food items to new IDP community in partnership with WFP, UNICEF, UNHCR, FAO, ECHO and OFDA.
Currently the list of our donors includes the US Bureau of Population Refugees Migration (BPRM), Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission, European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations of the European Commission (ECHO), International Cooperation and Development of the European Commission (EC DEVCO), Margaret A. Cargill Foundation, United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Bank.
